But seriously, I have always been captivated by design. Anyone who has formally been trained in graphic design has probably heard the phrase "form follows function", this makes complete sense, but I like to take it one step further. I like to think that "form often is function" meaning that in today's digital age though function is the ultimate goal, form is essential and cannot be neglected. It saddens me when I see something that is beautifully designed but doesn't accomplish the goal, i.e. create foot traffic or internet conversions, or vise versa. That is why I do what I do.
How did I get to this point you ask? Well I started off my schooling at Quinnipiac University studying Business Marketing. Quinnipiac is a great school, but turned out not the right direction for me. Thanks to my wife, who was my girlfriend at the time, I transferred to Liberty University and continued studying Business Marketing. While studying marketing I became aware of the importance of design. After playing with design on my own for a couple of months I decided to declare my double major; Graphic Design and Business Marketing. I then went on to intern for Prototype Advertising, a very reputable advertising agency in Central Virginia.
Recently, I have been designing at Peters of Nashua, a Honda, Kia and Nissan dealership, all while wearing numerous hats. I have been working freelance for a number of years, and plan to do so indefinitely.
